Enable your team members to log into PlaytestCloud through your SAML2 SSO system directly from our login page using their company email address. This feature, known as Service Provider (SP)-initiated Single Sign-On (SSO), requires an existing IdP-initiated SSO connection with your company's Identity Provider, such as Okta, Azure AD, etc.
SSO is included for Enterprise plan customers and can be purchased as an add-on for other plans. Please contact us if you'd like to enable SSO or learn more.
Prerequisites
Before enabling SP-initiated SSO, ensure you have successfully configured the SSO connection between your Identity Provider (IdP) and your PlaytestCloud organization.
If you need guidance on setting up the connection with your IdP, please refer to our documentation. Here's an example using Okta: Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) with Okta.
How to Enable SP-Initiated SSO
Once the IdP-initiated SSO connection with is active, enabling SP-initiated SSO requires one configuration step on our side: linking your company's email domain(s) to your SSO setup within PlaytestCloud.
To request this:
Identify the email domain(s) used by your team (e.g.,
yourcompany.com
).Please email us at hello@playtestcloud.com.
In your email, mention that you have an active IdP connection set up and would like to enable SP-initiated SSO. Please specify the email domain(s) that should be linked.
Our team will then review and link the specified domain(s) to your organization's SSO configuration to activate this login method.
Troubleshooting
Error "This domain is not associated with an SSO login"
If users attempt to log in via the PlaytestCloud login page using their email address and encounter the error message: "This domain is not associated with an SSO login"
This usually indicates that the specific email domain hasn't yet been linked to your organization's account for the SP-initiated flow in our system. It often occurs when trying this login method for the first time after the initial IdP connection setup.
Resolution:
To resolve this, please contact support at hello@playtestcloud.com. Let us know you're encountering this error when trying to use SP-initiated SSO and confirm the email domain(s) that need to be enabled. We will update the configuration to resolve the issue.
