Our image upload questions let you ask players to upload a picture right within your screener. This helps you find the right players by having them provide proof that they match your targeting, such as requesting a screenshot of their current level in a game.
How It Works
1. Adding an Image Upload Question to Your Screener
Adding an image upload question is quick and easy:
Choose the question type: When you're setting up a new question for your screener, just select the Image Upload question type.
Make it required or optional: By default, the question is optional. If you make it required, players will only be able to complete the screener if they upload an image.
Ask for more context: To get deeper insights, you can ask players to explain their image. Simply check the box for Ask players why they uploaded this image. This prompts them to type a short explanation after they upload their picture. Please note, the minimum character length for this answer will be 30 characters.
A few important rules for images:
Players can upload files in JPG or PNG format.
Each image must be no larger than 5MB.
2. Checking Your Results
Once players have finished their screeners, here's where you'll find their uploaded images:
On the Screener results page - only available if Manual screening is enabled:
You'll see the uploaded images directly on your Screener Results page.
In the Player tab on the video page - available for both Automatic & Manual screening:
The images will appear on the Video page for each individual player. Just head to the Player tab and look under the Screener answers section.
Use Cases for Image upload questions:
Image upload questions are incredibly flexible. They help you get unique data that text-based questions can't always capture. Here are some great ways to use them:
Technical Verification:
Ask players to upload screenshots of their device specifications (like an "About this PC" screen), current software versions, or in-game graphic settings. This helps confirm they meet your technical requirements.
Example: "Upload a screenshot of your Windows device's 'About this PC' screen."Product/Feature Usage Confirmation: Request visual proof that a player owns a specific game, has a certain item in a game (like a rare cosmetic), or has reached a particular level. You can also confirm their interaction with a specific game feature.
Example: "Please provide a screenshot of your character in DemoGame on level 3."
Proof of Experience or In-Game ID: Ask players to upload a screenshot of their in-game ID or profile to verify their experience level. This is useful for targeted playtests where specific player types are needed.
Example: "Upload a screenshot of your in-game ID to verify your experience level."
