You can manage credentials, such as Steam keys, usernames & passwords, etc added to a playtest from the playtest management page.

Understanding the status of credentials in the playtest:

On the playtest management page, three key numbers are displayed under the type of credential added to the playtest (e.g., Steam keys in the image):

  • Provided: The total number of credentials you have added to the playtest.

  • Required: The number of credentials needed to complete the playtest.

  • Assigned: The number of credentials that have already been assigned to players.

You can also click Download to access a detailed report, which includes each credential’s assignment status, the player it was assigned to, and a link to the player's video.

Please note: A player’s name will only appear in the report if their video has been published. Until then, the credential will be listed as assigned to an "Unpublished participation."

Adding more credentials to the playtest:

1. On the playtest management page, click Manage to view all credentials currently added to the playtest.

2. Click Add [Credential Type] (e.g., "Add Steam Keys" or "Add Usernames & Passwords"). Note: The button text will change based on the credential type required for your playtest.

3. Enter one credential per line. If each player requires multiple fields (such as a username and password), separate them with a comma. For example:

Username1, Password1
Username2, Password2
Username3, Password3

Once enough credentials have been added to meet the required number, click Submit to add them to the playtest.

Why do I need to add more credentials?

When you order a playtest requiring specific credentials, such as Steam keys or usernames & passwords, the platform requests a few extra credentials upfront. This enables the system to over-recruit, helping the playtest complete faster.

In most cases, the playtest proceeds smoothly with the initial credentials provided. However, there may be instances where additional credentials are requested—for example, if a player drops out unexpectedly or doesn’t meet quality standards. In these situations, the platform automatically recalculates and determines the exact number of additional credentials needed to complete the playtest.

If you do not add more credentials, no new players will be able to participate in the playtest. However, players who have already started will still be able to complete their participation.
