In the 'Specify your target audience' section of the order form, you can set up different parameters and demographics for the players who'll play your game.
General Overview
When you upload an iOS app, at the top of this section under 'Which devices can players use?' you will be able to specify if your game should be played on specific devices by selecting the checkboxes. The order form will let you select devices that are supported by the build that you uploaded.
To select your desired player demographics, select 'Use PlaytestCloud testers' and 'Pick with specific targeting'.
From here, you can select the players' current location, age range, gender, gamer type, and gaming history.
Subscription Targeting Features
For our customers on Professional Advanced and Enterprise plans, targeting without custom special requests in included in the base Video Token price.
For clients on Indie Pass Advanced and Professional Basic plans, a limited number of extra customizations are allowed. Check the services listed in your plan for more information.
Custom Audiences
While the order form lets you select several demographic and gaming experience parameters, some developers need more customized audiences than they can select on the form. Examples are players of a certain game, players inexperienced with a specific genre or players who engage with non-gaming content.
Beyond thse fields: If your ideal player doesn't fit neatly into those fields, just tell us. We can set up custom or advanced targeting for niche audiences.
Add a note in the special requests field on your order form, or email us at hello@playtestcloud.com, and we'll build the audience you actually need.
Note: Requesting a custom audience will add time to complete your playtest order And it will also cost more. Depending on how granular your specific request is, we may not always be able to supply the players you need.
For this, we offer an option to screen for custom target audiences. There are two ways to do this:
Preferred: You can design a screener for players yourself under the section 'Optional: Run a screener survey'. This is the fastest option since it allows your playtest launch and immediately start screening for players once you place the order. It also gives you the most control over the questions used to screen players.
Select 'No, add custom target audience description' and describe the audience you're looking for. This allows you to specify the audience you want and our team will screen for the audience for you.
These requests will prevent your order from auto-starting and will take longer to fulfill since our team needs to process them during working hours.
Access to custom audiences is limited to specific paid PlaytestCloud subscriptions.

Device Targeting
If you need more granular device targeting than what you're able to select on the order form, you'll need to add this as a custom targeting request for an additional charge. This option is only supported on our paid subscriptions.
