If you have a game folder or installer ready for playtesting, you can set up a playtest that allows players to install and play the game on their own Windows devices.
Step 1: Prepare a .zip file
To get started, prepare a .zip file containing all the materials you want to share with players. If you’re unfamiliar with creating a .zip file, refer to these official guides for Windows or MacOS.
File Restrictions for the .zip File:
Maximum number of files: 10,000
Maximum size per file: 80 GB
Maximum total size: 100 GB
Step 2: Order your playtest
Once your .zip file is ready, upload it while setting up your playtest.
If players need specific instructions to launch the game, consider adding a Custom Briefing to your playtest. This ensures players have clear, step-by-step guidance.

How does the player experience work?
Based on your targeting and playtest configuration, eligible players will be invited to participate.
Players will agree to the NDA and can then download the .zip file you uploaded while setting up the playtest.
They’ll receive instructions to unzip the files and, if necessary, install the game.
The PlaytestCloud app will guide players through additional playtest instructions and record their gameplay.
